Longest Bar in Aurora, 16 Beers on Tap, 10 TVs, Live Music, Events, Games, Slots & More

Aurora Tap House, formerly known as The Web, is owned by Aurora natives Chris Gonzalez and Dan Ardelean, who have been friends since they were 14 years old.  Offering many nightly events, including live music, DJs, karaoke, trivia. sports entertainment and holiday/themed events, has made this a great bar for a diverse age group ranging from 21 to 70's.  Stepping inside Aurora Tap House, you will see this has become a popular spot to host an event (work events, birthday and holiday name it).

Chris and Dan made many updates for a more modern feel at Aurora Tap House.  It was also important to preserve some of the historical aspect, including the approximate 60 feet bar. They have changed out some of the alcohol and are offering more selections and many more beers. Eastside Cafe and Gourmet Pizza along with a few bar snacks are served at the bar, and plans are in the works to open a full kitchen in the near future.  Other updates include new flooring, chairs, reupholstered bar stools and updated bathrooms.  Additionally, Chris and Dan rebuilt the tables and included on each, a lighted blown-up, historical photograph of Downtown Aurora that displays many different eras.

Dan's Grandma, Marguerite Hoorelbek, started the tavern over 40 years ago. She had many other locations and eventually got rid of them, but 134. W Downer Pl stayed close to her heart. Marguerite's daughters (Dan's mom and aunts), Darlene Ardelean, Sharon Barry and Beverly Bugbee became owners, and Beverly ran the bar for many years until she retired. Dan and Chris proudly bought the bar and the family legacy continues.

As Downtown Aurora evolves, Aurora Tap has kept its authenticity simply as a tavern.  There are not many tavern-like-bars left in the city, and it is truly a one-of-a-kind place to stop in, enjoy drinks and have a great time.
